TEXTS: Ephesians 5: 15-18

INTRODUCTION
If Jesus Christ has saved you soul, necessity is laid upon you to arise for the salvation of others. However, you must possess certain qualifications to be effective.

YOUR NEEDS AS A SOUL WINNER
Be saved and be sure of your salvation. You can only give what you have –Matt. 15:14

Be willing to tell others about great things that the Lord has done for you- John 4: 28-30. You do not have to be literate before you can do this.

Be living a pure life, inside and outside: a life surrendered to Jesus Christ and dedicated to Him, a life of hard work and self denial –Acts 20:31

Be prayerful. Prayers can remove any obstacle that Satan may put on the way of the sinner who is about to turn to Christ Acts 13: 6-12

Have at least a fair knowledge of the word of God and know how to read the Bible. The time you spend in talking and gossiping could be used to study and to meditate on the word of God – Ps. 1: 1-2

Be filled with the Holy Spirit – Acts 1: 8; Eph. 5:18

Have compassion for lost souls – Rom 10:1

CONCLUSION
Now that you know your needs as a soul winner, ask God to equip you for the work. Then, go to work for the Lord.
