GODLY AND HEALTHY HOME
TEXTS: Ephesians 5:21-33

INTRODUCTION
Today, by the grace of God, we shall look at the characteristic of a godly and healthy home. These are God’s expectations from our homes. In fact, godly and healthy homes are God’s plan and purpose for man.

CHARASTERISTIC OF A GODLY AND HEALTHY HOME
It is a home built on love, truth and the perfect will of God.

It is where Jesus Christ is the Lord, being served and worshipped in Spirit and in truth, Jn. 4:23.

It is where the husband is loving, kind, compassionate and faithful to the wife. 1 Pet. 3:7.

Where the wife is devoted, loving, faithful and submissive to her husband. 1 Pet. 3:1-6.

Where children are brought up in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Eph. 6:1-4.

It is where the couple is united in love and is ready to make the home a haven of peace on earth. 1   Pet. 3:8-11.

A godly and healthy home is built on love that will not give up on the other in spite of disappoint, hurts, mistakes and failures. 1 Cor. 13:4-7.
       
CONLUSION
Can your home be said to possess these entire basic characteristic? If yes, praise the Lord. If not, let the couple ask for the grace and power from God to make their home what it is meant to be.
