EMPOWERING THE NATIONS

TEXTS: Matthew 28: 19, Isaiah 52; 10

INTRODUCTION
With the global warming and the resultant unpredictable global weather patterns coupled with the monumental and incessant natural disasters bring experienced worldwide, we are reminded of the word of Jesus, regarding His imminent return-Matt. 24: 7-7. Jesus Christ has, however, predicted His final return on the task of making disciples of all nations-Matt. 24:14; Matt. 28:19. It is our responsibility, therefore, to empower the nations for kingdom living and eternal glory.

EQUIPMENTS FOR EMPOWERMENT
Empowering with the gospel: Rom. 1: 16; Lk. 24: 47. The greatest empowerment the nations can received is the message of salvation. The gospel of salvation must be preached in all the nations.

Empowering with men: Eph. 4:11-12; Matt. 28:2, Tim.2:2. We must equip the saints in the Nations for the work of the ministry. God expects us to raise true disciples of Christ in all the nations. We must also raise indigenous leaders who can raise other leaders to raise other leaders in all the nations.

Empowering with wealth: Deut. 8: 18. As we go to the nations we must endeavor to empower them economically. We must teach them the principles of prosperity. As they prosper financially, they in turn will support their local expansion.

Social Responsibility: Health care, education and rehabilitation centers.

CONCLUSION
God has placed the church on earth as a change agent. We must change the heart of people with the salvation message. We must raise men and women who must be change agents. We must also change the lives of the people socially and economically. This we must do in all the nations of the earth – Matt. 5: 13, 14, 16. We must not fail God in this regard.
