SOUL WINNING, A MUST FOR YOU

TEXTS: 2 Kings 7:8-11; Mark 5: 18-20

INTRODUCTION
Apart from being called by God to win souls, it is natural for every genuine Christian to win souls. God has given us opportunities to deal individually and personally with the souls of men. One of these opportunities is to influence the decision of unbelievers by sharing our testimonies- Mark 5:20. We must not allow the opportunities to go without utilizing them. Soul winning is a definite effort to lead a person to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at a definite time. Andrew brought Peter to Christ- Jn. 1:41-42. Why is soul winning a must for you?

THE NECESSITY FOR SOUL WINNING
There are several reasons soul winning is a must, among which are:

• God commanded it-Matt. 28: 18; Jn. 15:16. Not preaching the gospel is a curse – 1Cor. 9:16
• The worth of a soul – Mk. 8: 35-37. A soul is worth more than the whole world and you may be the only one who can make an impression on that particular soul. God does not want any sinner to perish but to come to repentance- 2 Pet. 3:9
• Hell is real and not imaginary. Unsaved souls are heading for a lost eternity in hell fire, brimstone, torture, blankness, anguish and pain forever. The suffering of Jesus Christ for each sinner must be in vain. You must let the sinners know that Christ suffered and died to save their souls -1Cor. 15:3
• The emptiness, folly and vanity of this world – 1Jn.2:15-17

The greatest gift you can give to anyone is Christ-Phil. 4:19

CONCLUSION
You are not laboring in vain. Your reward for each soul won is great and sure – Dan. 12:3; 1Cor. 15:58.
