OBSTACLES TO HEAVEN
TEXTS: Revelation 21:1-8

INTRODUCTION
Heaven is a place of beauty too wonderful to be a place of holiness and impeccable glory- Rev.21:27; 1 jn.3:.The primary condition for entrance into Heaven is that you must be born again, be absolutely holy and be baptized in Holy Ghost. 1Cor.6:11; Tithes. 4:3; Acts. 1:8.
 
SOME OBSTACLES TO HEAVEN
There are many reasons a man can fail to enter into H even after being born again. Some of them are:

1. Laziness and prayerlessness. Rev.3:15-16; Lk.18:1-8; Prov.6:4-6;
2.  Matt.26:40-45.
3. The love of the world.1Jn.2:15-17; Phlil.3:18-19.
4. Lack of love for God and our neighbors.Jn.13:34-35, l Jn.4; 7-8.
5. Failure to abide in Christ or unfruitful life. Jn.15:1-8, 16; Lk.13:6-9.
6. Disobedient. Titus 1:16; I Sam.15:22;Rom.2:7-10
7. Failure to do the will of God. Matt.7:21-23, jn.5:30.
8. Unbelief. Rev.21:8; Isa.7:9; Ilk. 18:8.
9. Unforgiving spirit. Matt.6: 14-15; Matt.18: 21-35.
10. Putting a stumbling block or an obstacle to fall in one’s brother’s way. Matt.18:6-7; 2Tim.2:17; Rom.14:13.
11. Failure to be totally free from sin and false doctrines. 1Jn.3:8- 10; 2Tim.4:13; Natt.24 11-13; Jn.8:32-36.
12. Failure to bear fruit of the spiri.Gal.522-24; 2 pet.1:5-11; Matt.3:10.
13. Pride of gift of the Holy Spirit can destroy a Christian and does hinder him from making Heaven. Acts. 12:21-23; prov. 16 :18;1Cor.10:3

CONCLUSION:
Heaven is a glorious place. it is a place for the overcomes. You cannot afford to miss it .Be willing to get rid of any known obstacle to Heaven.
