DIVORCE NOT AN OPTION
TEXTS: Malachi 2:14-16

INRODUCTION
As a member of the Kingdom family, divorce should not be allowed. Unfortunately, this is a cold fire that is ravaging homes today. It is not the solution to misunderstanding in particularly considering the fact that it is capable of hindering you from entering into Heaven.

DIVORCE NOT A SOLUTION BUT POLLUTION
The Lord watches over the relationship in marriage. He hates divorce- Mal. 2:14-16.

No man is allowed to cause separation – Mk. 10:9.

Even in the case of fornication (sexual immorality) you are taught to forgive-Mt. 19:3-9; Matt. 18:21-35.

It is a command not from man, but from God, that there should be no separation or divorce – 1 Cor. 7:10.

The union of the husband and the wife is inseparable as long as they are both alive – Rom. 7:1-3.

1 Cor. 7:12-15 is not a ground for separation or divorce. It was Paul’s suggestion and not a command     from the Lord. The Lord emphasized peace  
“…but God has called us to peace.”        “….no adulterer shall inherit the kingdom of God will judge them – Heb. 13:4.

 For future peace in the homes, the older ones have the duty to teach the youths to seek the face of God before going into marriage because not all that glitters is gold.

The youths should go into marriage with the determination that it will work for them. There should not be a plan B.

CONCLUSION
Divorce is capable of destroying your Christian testimonies and shut the door of Heaven against you. Do not give it any consideration.
