INTRODUCTION:
Backsliding basically means ceasing to follow Jesus Christ -2 Tim.4:10. This is the definition known to many of us. In this lesson, we shall attempt to throw more light on who is a backslider.

MORE FACTS ABOUT A BACKSLIDER
A backslider is not somebody who falls but someone who falls and refuses to get up

Anybody who changes a decision he or she has made in a Christian journey is a backslider - Luke 9:62.

Anybody who tolerates sin is a backslider - Prov.28:4.

Anyone who is remembering old glories is a backslider - Isa. 43:18-19.

If you are resting on your oars, thinking that you have already arrived spiritually, you are a backslider -Phil. 3:13-14. Backsliding means you are not where you are
supposed to be. 

A backslider is someone who does not make disciples - Matt. 28:19-20; John 15:16.

You are a backslider when the original love you have for Jesus Christ begins to waver or wax cold - Rev. 2:4.

CONCLUSION
You must by now know your spiritual state, whether you are a backslider or not. If you are, then repent and make restitution of your ways and cry unto God for help.
