WHICH IS YOUR SONG?
TEXTS: 1 Samuel 17:33-37

INTRODUCTION:
The type of song you are singing will reveal you spiritual state at any particular time .There are  songs of those who have gone back from the Lord and there are songs rendered only by those standing firm in the Lord .Which of these songs is yours

SONGS OF BACKSLIDER:
According to the scriptures, a backslider is someone who was once a believer in Christ but later forsook the Lord having  loved this present  world -2 Tim.4 :10, Lk.9:62; Heb.6:4—6. Backsliding attracts divine displeasure Heb.10:38; Pet.2:20 -22.
Songs of a backslider are, ‘it is not possible for me, it cannot be done, and there is no hope’’ and all the likes. Watch the word of your mouth and you will know your stand in the Lord- 1 Sam.17:33, Num. 13 31-33; Num.14: 1-14, Jos .7:10-12, John 15:5.

SONGS OF THOSE STANDING FIRM: 
In the contrary , songs of those standing firm in the Lord  will be ,’’I can do it, it is possible, there is a way out ,’’This is because they know that with God all things are possible – 1  Sam. 17:34-37, Num. 13:30,Num. 14 : 6-9, Zech. 4:6-7, pill  4:13, 19 Eph. 6:10 Lk.1:37; Matt. 14:23-29 Mark9:23.

CONCLUSION:
By now you must have known which of the songs you will sing. If you are a backslider, return to the Lord .lf you are standing firm in the Lord ask for the grace to remain so till the end
