SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM ANSWERED

TEXTS: Acts 2:4; 17-18, 37-39.

INTRODUCTION
To be baptized in the Holy Spirit means to be empowered by God. Who can be baptized in the Holy Spirit? Can I be baptized in the Holy Spirit without speaking in tongues? When I speak in tongues, who actually speak? What must I do to be baptized? Providing answers to these questions is our focus today. May the Holy Spirit reveal Himself to us.

THE QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Who can be baptized in the Holy Spirit? It is anyone who has been born again and living a holy life that can be baptized in the Holy Spirit Acts 2: 17-18

Can I be baptized in the Holy Spirit without speaking in tongues? Speaking in tongues is the immediate evidence of the fact that you have been baptized – Acts. 2:4

When I speak in tongues, who actually speak? The answer is twofold: both the Holy Spirit and you. Surrender your tongue and the Holy Spirit uses it to utter mysteries of God 1 Cor. 14:2; Mk. 13:11

What must I do to be baptized in the Holy Spirit? Acts 2: 37-39

Confess your sins to Jesus, 1 John 1:9

Renounce those sins, Psalm 66:18

Surrender your life to Him, Rom 6L13

Be prepared to obey all the commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ henceforth, Acts 5:32

Believe the Holy Spirit is more anxious to fill you than you are anxious to receive Him. The baptism is a gift from God, John 16:6-7, Joel 2: 28-29

Ask and it shall be given to you, Luke 11:13

CONCLUSION
