PROVOKING A PROPHECY

TEXTS: 2 Kings 3: 14 – 20

INTRODUCTION
When a word of prophecy comes through a true prophet of God, it is an extremely powerful thing. The reason prophecy is so powerful is that it is God speaking in the language of men. Amos. 3:7-8; Ps. 33: 8-9; 2 Chro. 20:20

HOW SHOULD I RELATE TO THE WORD OF PROPHECY?
Receive it by faith, even if you do not understand how it could never happen. Lk. 1: 34 – 38; Ps. 33: 8-9

Do not ask for signs. Lk. 1: 13-20

If you have any doubt concerning a word of prophecy, please keep your mouth shut. 2Kgs. 7: 1-2

Pray your prophecy into manifestation. 1Kgs. 18: 41-45. Hold on to God until the miracle happens.

HOW CAN I PROVOKE A PROPHECY?
Intense praise and worship. 2Kgs. 3: 14-20; Ps. 22: 3.

Put God first. 1Kgs. 177: 8-16

Seek to know and meet the needs of a genuine man of God, especially your pastor. 2Kgs. 4: 8-17

Give God an offering that is worthy of Him and worthy of you. 2 Kgs. 5: 1-14

CONCLUSION
Always remember when you give God a gift that God is not a beggar. There is a way you can give something to the Almighty God that will cause Him to say a word to you.
