GODLY HOME MANAGEMENT
TEXTS: Ephesians 5:21-25

INRODUCTION
A home talks of where a man and a woman live together as husband and wife having joined together in holy matrimony. It is God’s institution from the beginning – Gen. 2:18; 21-24; Matt> 19:4-6. A home can be a godly one or an ungodly one depending on who is in –charge, the one in control and the one ruling and directing the affairs of the home. Where Jesus is in – charge, then, it will be a godly home. All things will be done in the fear of God. Management for the purpose of our discussion here means running. Home management therefore, means how Christians should run their homes.

 HOW CHRISTIANS SHOULD RUN THEIR HOMES
They should run their homes according to the Word of God- Eph. 5:21-25.

-The wife must obey her husband unquestionably Eph. 5:22, 24; 1 Pet. 3:1

This glorified God – Col. 3:18
-The husband should demonstrate unconditional love to his wife. He is to initiate blessings rather than retaliate when things go wrong just like Christ did – Eph. 5:25. In order that their prayers might be answered by God unhindered, men should love and honors their wives – 1 Pet. 3:7.

The man should be the Priest of home – Eph. 5:23. He is to hear from God, lead his home in worship of God and carry family petitions to God, lead his home in worship
of God and plan for the family. He is also to warn them when trouble is perceived.

Parent should teach their children the word of God. Never leave them behind in the service of God and show them the way of God early in life – Eph. 6:4; Deut. 6:6-7;
